We are part of a group of six Nursing and Residential Homes in the West Yorkshire area. Previously we operated a manual Management Information System which was not producing the desired accuracy of information.

Disegno was commissioned to develop a system which could be used to provide various different ranges of information specifically designed to meet the needs of all the different areas of specialty within our Management Team.

This was then expanded to incorporate the data management of each Home's residents, ensuring that only the relevant data be supplied to the person responsible in any particular field.

The system we now use has evolved into an easy-to-use, easy-to-maintain spreadsheet which meets all our current needs and is capable of being adapted, should any future needs be identified.

My company supplies document management support to design & construction projects in the rail industry (currently involved in a joint venture project working with Siemens Transportation). We have operated an Access Database system to control all our documents and drawings from design through to construction.

We initially requested Disegno to look at some problems we had with both corruption of the database and reporting. The reporting is very important, as our clients need to know the up to date status of documents / drawings on a weekly basis.

Disegno was asked to rectify the corruption issues and then develop our database to improve both the input, control of documents / drawings and improve the reporting systems. We also commissioned them to design different front ends for this database, so various users could access the database for their specific needs. These requirements have all been met successfully - within deadline and to budget - by Disegno.

The development has been a success, with Disegno being involved with 1DocumentationUK to evolve and improve the database further and implement additional changes as our projects develop.
