Because of our Lead Designer’s experiences, Disegno is able to offer a service somewhat different than that of some other software designers: we have experience of the actual reality of the busy office environment and of the business world, and so are aware of the functionality required of our solutions. We are also aware that the needs of the business community are so varied that we must be able to offer a multitude of solutions to cover every eventuality.

• Our design philosophy centres on the idea that solutions should be simple to use for those with the most basic of IT / Microsoft Office skills. We are aware that most users of our products will not be IT professionals and so any solution we provide must be extremely user-friendly, with the scope for erroneous use kept to an absolute minimum. Because we can program and modify the applications that make up the Microsoft Office suite, we can build in additional ‘user-friendliness’ if required. Thus, a Microsoft Excel solution, for example, could be provided that is useable by someone of very basic proficiency in that application. In many cases, it could be cheaper to have an easily-used custom solution built by us than it would be to train an employee up on using Microsoft Excel at an advanced level, and whereas staff move on to pastures new over time, our solutions do not!

• Our prices are lower than those of major software designers - typically, our prices are in the hundreds of pounds, whereas major software developers, with many overheads to consider, may charge thousands.

• 95% of businesses globally utilize one or more Microsoft Office applications: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint are perhaps the most common three, though the Microsoft Outlook eMail application is also extremely popular throughout the world.

• What most people (and businesses) don’t realize is that these Microsoft Office applications are a thousand times more useful and powerful than is initially apparent: a programming language (at which we are adept) exists that allows these applications to do far greater things than is, at first, apparent. Not only can these Microsoft applications do more than they appear to, they can also interact with one another, so a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet can utilize Microsoft® Outlook to automatically send eMails, for example.
